Crap ... the game is 41 minutes RIGHT NOW ... from my sister's house and I don't like my sister. Dammit.
But Mama turns 90 the weekend before ... so we can put off the party for a week (I hope!)

I always applaud the Flyers as they are always looking for a challenge.
I agree! You have the respect a program that wants to play the best. Win or lose. I believe it makes them better as a program in the long run. I wish they could play in 8A because they can play with the big boys in our own state. It’s unfortunate they have to play teams from other states to get the competition they deserve. I would love to see them play powerhouse programs like LWE, Loyola, MS or Warren to name a few. I definitely respect their program.

I don’t understand why they won’t just play the big boys in Illinois. In 19 they barely beat nequa, who lost in the quarters. Batavia played them well the same year and lost in the semis of 7A. Plenty of talent in Illinois and people would love to see these game rather than playing a team from Maryland.
Taking a guess here, but I would think experience and exposure rank up there on the reasons
The Flyers have contacted many of those schools. They would like to stay and play in Illinois and play. But teams have to be willing to play.
YES, It has been mentioned many times before, Unless you are new, Hey and Kudo's to Batavia, Nequa, PC, and Montini to name a few. I am sure I am forgetting some.

LWE and Loyola are a 4.5 to 5.5 hour trip anyways. May as well be out of state. These imaginary state lines don't actually hold any significance. EStL (and anyone else for that matter) should play whoever they want to who also wants to play them, in non conference.
Every team in Illinois brings their A game against ESL and it's fun to watch. Certain teams are always willing to play while others aren't. On another note, some of the out of state games are great experiences for the kids. Memories last forever.
Creekside )-2, but have played some big boys in GA. Not sure what to expect except that the FLYERS will compete.
Creekside is 0-2 and their opponents are 5-1.
