Forward for a first down, again and again as they win 54-0.

Look up the first half … city of champions tv on YouTube.

LB3 is a bad man. Another punt return TD and this young man will snatch any bouncing ball and just GO!

He scores the first three TDs … then a freshman gets some. 30-0 in the first q.

So, Springfield, huh? Big scoring crew - got Tag William giving his Scouting report. I remember him from Saint Phillips hoops - he was a year older than me.

Had a conversation today with some esl old heads.
Someone made the claim that lb3 was the best fb players to come through esl (including lincoln and assumption) ahead of eric wright and homer bush. After seeing 2 of those td today, it's hard to argue against lb3

If they had a close game, would he play both ways? Terry Hawthorne was the best 2 way player I have seen. Dominant on both sides of the ball in high school.

No, he wouldnt play both ways. This team has 3 other D1 guys playing in the defensive backfield.

Terry is my guy, but man Luther is just on another level as far as being a hs football player.

Jerry Creer was a BadAss - Homer would likely bow to him. Don't forget Chris Moore or Dana Howard.

As a kid, Marvin Lampkin was my favorite. Dude was crazy fast!

Good point. That ESL team was talented but needed the Black Cat on both sides. Obviously this years squad is covered on the back end.

That’s just to name a few, Don’t forget about. The great Terry Hill who’s number is the only one retired 22. The 74 team was loaded with D1 talent most went on to D1 schools. Winslow only played one year of varsity football then went on to Mizzou. The pipeline from ESL to Missouri goes way back.
