Does anyone think De La Salle & Leo should join Chicagoland Christian Conf. for Football ?

Even when Leo could have good teams they can’t compete with the bigger Catholic teams. If they played in the Chicagoland Christian Conference they would do good playing teams closer to their size and actually make the state playoffs and compete with schools their size.

De La Salle could play varsity football next year and see if they could build up their program to see if they could come back to the CCL in a few years.

Football enrollment #s
*De La Salle 701
Wheaton 669
Marian central 389
*Leo 386
Christ the king 371
Bishop Mac 320
Chicago Christian 316
Hope academy 274
St.Edward 268
Aurora Christian 200

Leo for sure.

The conference is expanding next year with Ottawa Marquette and Peru St Bede joining which are similar in size.

I’ve been wondering how much playoff success would Leo have had the past 15 years if they were in the dance

They made the final 4 one time about 5 years ago

What's the situation/ timeline with Aurora Central Catholic? Theyd be in a small Red/large Purple or #11/ #13 in the Chicagoland Christian.

There is no timetable. They want no part of the CCL and CCC has reached out about joining but Central won’t return a call.

IC is joining the conference next year for everything except football.

St Francis (not sure why bc their program is doing just fine in the CCL) wants to get the Suburban Catholic Back together.

All the Aurora privates should be in a conference together.

Gotta have Montini included

Would love to see the SCC revive and look like this…

Montini
Marmion
St Francis
IC
De La Salle

Wheaton Academy
Aurora Christian
Aurora Central
Bishop Mac
Woodstock Marian

Chicago Christian
Chicago Hope
Christ the King
St Bede
Ottawa Marquette

Play everyone in your division and (2) crossovers with each other division.
