Do Mega Camp Sessions Mean Anything?

Seeing lots of "I'm Going to Mega Camp, Day X/Y/Z, Session X/Y/Z."

Are the sessions significant in terms of ranking or is it just availability? My GUESS is you want THE studs in the same sessions.

They are good for players trying to get on schools radars or are looking to catch the eye of a solid FCS, D2 or D3 program. You won’t see too many higher level FBS recruits or schools at these, maybe 1 or 2 that are in the area to help attract a players. But they do work, I’ve heard of players getting decent offers from Mega Camps or at least some phone calls and legit interest from schools. Just go there with realistic expectations of your skills and who they are going to attract

Depends where you go but in general mega camps serve a purpose....lots of college coaches in one spot is always a plus for recruits.

Yes the session matters. The best session is Friday afternoon if you are looking to get notice by power 5 schools. You will get some to hangover to Saturday morning.
