Anyone watching Arizona State
RB Cam Scattaboo . I watched this guy last year and he is a beast. JCA fans he reminds of Mike Alstott.
He just plays hard, runs hard breaking tackles along the way. He has a huge heart. This is the kind of guy you want on your team. He is a difference maker and fun to watch.

I was texting my buddies that Scattaboo was like college version of the best player we played against in HS, WWS's Phil Adler who sadly passed away last year (there was a thread on this board about it)..... guys just bouncing off those thighs! Don't know if Phil could throw though :)

Damn, now that my memory is getting clearer, I went to the Wheaton Central - Joliet Catholic semifinal game in 1991 when Alstott played against Adler.... don't remember, however, if Adler was a major piece of that team as a junior, but I know he was an absolute beast in 1992 when they won state.

I just realized that three our of the four finalists for the college championship are Northern schools -- Isn't that unusual?

Plus, all three are Great Lakes states..
And all 4 of the Top Seeded teams eliminated before the semi finals.

Does it make a difference that they all had a bye?
I think it had an impact. Georgia was close until the bad fumble at the end of the half, but the other 3 games the "bye" team came out really flat. ASU fought back, but the other 2 were buried before they could take a breath.

No. The nfl’s best teams get first round byes every year.

Ohio state didn’t play in the conference championship so they technically had a bye and are the hottest team in CFB.

Notre Dame doesn’t have a conference championship so they had a bye as well.

Everyone just over blows everything to have something to talk about.

The teams that had byes actually had 3 weeks off which is too long between games.
