He certainly has an interesting CV.

Lots of experiences, but as a head coach he seems to have NAIA and lower experience and most of that is in the southeast....and Russia.

Don't claim to know anything about him or have an opinion. Not sure what I expected the hire to be, but I probably assumed some Midwest connection and maybe some D2 or D3 experience. But then again they were probably limited in that anyone worth pursuing with FCS or D2 experience likely saw the fledgling nature of the program at a university with an uncertain future and declined any interview.

Hopefully this ends up being a good thing for the university. This guy has his work cut out for him, but it can't be much tougher than coaching American football in Vladivostok, Russia.

This is the same University who built a multi-million dollar turf baseball field and shuttered the program 7 years later. I will be surprised if they ever play a game and even more surprised if they get to year 5.
