Why don't you have De La Salle and Marian multiplied? I get they have struggled, but both those schools would be significantly larger than Marian Central, JCA, and Montini.

Neither are same sex schools, and both are still bigger than all 3 of those schools. MCC, JCA, and Montini all hang around 600 enrollment

This is what the IHSA is using this year for Football Enrollment. If De La Salle and St.Patrick make the state playoffs they both will be in 5A.

Then these numbers have nothing to do with the merger. Some of these numbers are single sex schools doubled, some not multiplied

I was under the impression that success, enrollment of boys and number of players in the program would all come into play when putting schools in divisions.

Some of these schools will play whoever they are scheduled against and at least hold their own regardless of school size and makeup. Some of these schools with high student populations will not do so well against much smaller student population schools. That's high school football and as they say "on any given Sunday" but substitute Friday/Saturday.
