Woodstock Marian is down on their luck as a program but just had their TE commit to Clemson. He had offers from virtually every major program and is the #4 TE in his class.

What other big time recruits have come from teams that didn’t see success in the W/L column?

Marian is doing something right (junior QB is also a D1 kid) but for some reason not seeing success on the field.

Rock Island Alleman just announced they would not be playing varsity football in the fall but have a highly rated Offensive Lineman who will be going to Notre Dame.

One of the first CS8 players to play in the NFL, Andy King, went to Lincoln High School which hasn’t made the playoffs since 1984.

SLUH in St. Louis has the #5 player in the country and they went 3-7.
Last year Stagg went 0-9 and had a guy commit to Illinois. He wasn't as highly recruited as the TE though.

Clemson has been come an odd number program. No interest in the transfer market and a huge emphasis on religious players.

I was trying to remember if Curie was good the year they had Kevo Wesley. He was a top IL recruit that year.

Damn autocorrect

Different sport, but current LA Laker Anthony Davis went to Chicago's Perspective Charter in high school. The school did not have a basketball court and finished 6-19 his senior year(when he was the number one recruit in the nation).
This has always puzzled me as to how this was possible.

Good post.

Deacon Tonieli, the Michigan TE recruit played on a losing Oswego team this year.

Noah Schultz on Oswego East last year for baseball, granted there were some interesting circumstances.
