8A QTRS who you got and why

Game 25 — #9 Lincolnshire (Stevenson) (10-1) at #1 Frankfort (Lincoln-Way East) (11-0), Fri., Nov. 15, 7:00 pm.
Game 26 — #20 Park Ridge (Maine South) (8-3) at #12 Wilmette (Loyola Academy) (9-2), Sat., Nov. 16, 1:30 pm
Game 27 — #7 Naperville (Central) (10-1) at #2 LaGrange (Lyons) (11-0), Fri., Nov. 15, 7:00 pm
Game 28 — #27 Gurnee (Warren) (7-4) at #14 Elmhurst (York) (9-2), Fri., Nov. 15, 7:30 pm

LWE running clock. 49-0
Maine South in 20-17
LTHS 31-28
Warren 49-48

Beast-I think this one will get ugly. Lincoln Way East halftime adjustments are top notch.
Swagger-no explanation needed.
NC-lots of former Maine South representation on staff. Also Lyons is getting no respect. If I knew more about them, maybe I would pick them.
York-if Warren gets behind, they are doomed! If not, they’ve got a chance.

And I just realized after my picks, that I'm picking all 4 Home teams.

Yes Home Field played a factor in 2 or 3 of my picks, adding a little fuel to the whole seeding / home field argument. I still kind of like Maine South over LA, but had to give LA the edge with their home field.

At NC, the pre-game staff introduction over the P.A. actually references the Park Ridge origins of the 2 coaches. At least the awkwardness of this will be avoided since NC and MS can not meet in Naperville this season given the brackets.

York will be favored - better record & home team. Warren has been on the road most of the year. So, it should be an interesting game. No rain in forecast but temp will be in the upper/mid 40's. I see a pretty low scoring game. I like this game because they are both mid/lower seeded (14 vs. 27) both will be underdogs the rest of the way. Warren is playing with house money at this point. Hopefully, Six Flags will stay open another week in November. The FLAG !

LWE 42-14 too much talent vs Stevenson, ‘lock of the week’ with no chance to upset
MS 31-28 QB shootout that MS wins late, as LA coaches pick wrong game strategy
Lyons 28-14 in a defensive battle, and maybe worst if Lyons OFF gets rolling
York 31-21 better team wins, but Warren RB will keep it close.

Not the same Warren defense you're used to. They gave up over 30 points in 3 of their 4 loses.
It’s hard to think 2 teams that predominantly run the ball score that many points but I get your point. I will again say the conference is down this year.

I agree. I do not see Warren & York scoring a lot. Warren is down this year but not think think Warren does not defensive athletes ... they do but they are young in positions. Mac team will play physical and fight hard. 🎢
