After yet another lengthly rain delay, the Wooden Shoes punch their ticket to the 2A title game which will be their second championship appearence since 1999 when they took the old Class A runner up trophy...Congratulations to Coach Justin Fleener and the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes...

2A Semi-Final: Harrisburg 7 IVC 1*FINAL*

The Bulldogs from wayyyyyyy down in SO IL...make it to the 2A title with the big win over the Grey Ghosts of IVC. I Understand there were a lot of errors in this one folks. Harrisburg , no stranger to IHSA baseball title games having won A titles in 1989, and 2004, and class A runner-ups in 1991,1992, and 2003 will take on those pesky Wooden Shoes of Teutopolis tomorrow following the 2A 3rd place game between the Immaculate Conception Knights of Elmhurst and the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghost of Chillicothe which will get under way at 3PM out at Silver Cross Field. Congratulations to long time Harrisburg Coach Jay Thompson on yet another trip to the state finals...

Well a long day of baseball due to some nasty weather. The 1 & 2A fields are set, and they'll get back at it tomorrow...3PM at Silver Cross Field in beautiful down town Joliet....

Bulldogs move to 40-0 on the season. Yes... that's right... 40-0.

Reminds me of a few years ago when Edgy declared 6A CoM the state's best football team. Does a team from a lower class deserve the #1 ranking? Let the debate begin... if the Dogs can finish the task at hand.

Got to go all the way back to 1998 for the last undefeated baseball Champions...the Edwardsville Tigers finished 40-0 by virtue of their 10-2 win over Victor J Andrew for the old AA title. The A title that season was won by Normal University by way of their 10-0 win over Sullivan(IL).Normal U would finish the season with a record of 40-3...
