Impact Player for Crete-Monee
You really can't go wrong with selecting either Crete-Monee senior WR D'Arion Yarbrough or Crete-Monee senior DB Jayden Marshall here. Both players have been drawing steady recruiting attention and offers for the past year plus, both are key leaders and impact performers here as well. Yarbrough and Marhsall will also be asked to provide both leadership and production this fall for the Warriors.
Looking for a sleeper name to watch for Crete-Monee? Keep an eye on Crete-Monee senior QB Derrin Couch who has a big time arm and who has already set some career and single season passing records already at Crete entering his senior season.
EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2025 Crete-Monee Warriors
Crete-Monee and head coach John Konecki can make claim to being one of the most consistent winning programs in the south suburbs under his watch. The Warriors enter the 2025 season with a talented starting lineup stacked with a ton of playing time at the varsity level. The Warriors offense, which can and will throw everything and the kitchen sink at all opposing defenses has a chance to being very strong this fall. Crete-Monee is also on time to open up a brand new football field and sports facility this fall.....something this Crete program has been in great need for .now for many years. Look for the Warriors to again challenge for the Southland conference and to make a run in Class 6A this fall.
The biggest question facing Crete-Monee this summer?
Can the Warriors take full advantage of it's new home field and be even faster and more athletic than it's been in the past? Crete-Monee is one of those schools that just seems blessed at having some higher level athletes and the Warriors overall team speed is very impressive and that was when playing on a less than spectacular grass field. Now playing on a fast turf? Crete-Monee will no question learn to appreciate no more IHSA deep playoff games in mud and slop...and again is any program will benefit from a newer modern field and facility....it has to be Crete-Monee.
