Biggest Question facing Lyons Township this fall?
Can the Lions become a threat and rise to the higher level sof the West Suburban Silver this fall? Lyons Township and first year head coach Jon Beutjer has been in the program and the building for several years and his hiring was a terrific fir for this program on the rise. Lyons was able to post a 2-2 record in the spring season and will welcome back a ton of returning starters this fall. Look for the Lions to rely on a handful of key names this fall and if your looking for a nice sleeper type of pick this fall....Lyons Township could be your team.
Impact Player for Lyons Township
Senior QB Joey Antonietti. Antonietti is a good sized athlete (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) who has improved his game quite a bit over the last year plus. Antonietti is a clear vocal leader for an offense and a team that has some talent but is still trying to improve and reach a higher level this fall. Antonietti is also a strong dual threat in the Lions offense, an offense that will look to spread the football to several different receivers and backs.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 3 @ Hinsdale Central
I can even argue that Week 1 against New Trier will be another game to watch, yet the Week 3 game on the road at a very strong Hinsdale Central team will no question be a great early indicator game for not just the Lions but also in the West Suburban Silver this fall.
