WSC Wk7 Prediction Thread

The playoffs are on the horizon, and 9 of the 14 WSC teams have aspirations of playing Halloween Weekend. The WSC Week 7 Marquee Matchup will be played on Saturday at Ducheon Field as Downers Grove North travels to Glenbard West. DGN is coming off their first win over Hinsdale Central in 14 years, and Glenbard West is coming off their first loss of the season to York. As you may recall, both GW and DGN had their chances to beat York.

Other interesting games with playoff implications - Willowbrook vs. Hinsdale South, Downers Grove South vs. Addison Trail, and Hinsdale Central vs. York. As for our prediction game, I foresee several 100% board picks this week. That may not be great for movement in the standings.

Week 7 of the 2022 is the most successful week for the board since... last year Wk 7. We had 5 games correctly picked by all 14 participants, 3 for 3 in the WSG. It would have been 6 of 7 had one "not to be named" prognosticator chose Hinsdale Central over York. The lowest collective score was 71.93% in the GW over DGN game. The season high 94.90% collective correct rate raises the season percentage nearly 3.5 points to 79.16%. FWIW - Wk 7 2021 the board was 95.24% correct, equating 4 overall incorrect picks amongst 12 players.

Further, 9 of 14 individuals had perfect 7-0 slips this week. The other 5 players went 6-1, resulting in few - but important movements in the standings. The current standings will be posted in the Wk 8 thread.
