Athletes plus a first rate coaching staff. Head coach is one of he great guys in the business and a very good teacher too. When you're dealing with what he deals with in a basically broke area and to still turn out high quality kids - that says a lot.
His best athlete Jamari Ward is a 4.5 on a 4.0 scale #1 or #2 in his class.

The answer to this question is unique. Cahokia coach was an excellent jumper and he specifically focuses on the field events along with the hurdles. He usually produce a high level jumper and hurdler which helps when it come to the state meet. Fortunately for him he was moved down to 2A for the last few years which helped with qualifying numbers from sectionals. Cahokia is head and shoulders above everyone in their conference which helps at the sectional meets. They usually qualify 2 kids in every event which allow for depth. He also has benefited from the Ward family which both were tops in their class. So far he has had a Ward for 6 years and he have 6 championships to show for it. He may be the best jump coach in the state.
