Impact Player for Batavia:

Senior ILB Tyler Jansey will be a three year varsity starter for the Bulldogs in 2022. Jansey, who is already verbally committed to Wisconsin is a ball hawk who can and will go sideline to sideline to make plays. Jansey is also a non stop worker who also has an unmatched motor. Look for Jansey to again be a team leader both on and off the field for the Bulldogs in 2022.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Batavia Bulldogs

The Bulldogs (8-2) made the 2021 Class 7A state playoff field and defeated Lake Zurich in opening round action. The Bulldogs lost to Mount Carmel in second round action to end the season. Batavia and head coach Dennis Piron welcomes back a strong group of 13 returning starters (7 offense 6 defense) and keep an eye on junior QB Ryan Boe along with standout ILB Tyler Jansey (Wisconsin) and senior ILB Jack Sadowsky (Iowa State) for Batavia. The biggest question is can Batavia get back into the 7A state playoffs and make a state title run? Look for Batavia to be highly ranked in the preseason polls and to challenge for a state title this fall.
