Will The Multiplier Get Raised After This Year?

To your point, the next two year cycle will have both Brother Rice and Marist not multiplied, since neither one has won 3 playoff games in this 2-year cycle.
So this is the last year of the 2yr playoff win cycle? Meaning if no more than 3 playoff wins in 23/24

2025 back to 0 for all the Catholic schools ? Do I follow? Thanks

this two year cycle is done, so all playoff wins from '23 and '24 count. Next year starts a new cycle so playoff wins from '25 and '26 count towards the '27 cycle.

Side note…I like how SF is thrown into the mix of teams with success when the only championship they have was 5A in 2008
Just in the last 2 years:

1-0 vs. Loyola
2-2 vs. Naz
1-1 vs. Rita
1-0 vs. JCA
2-0 vs. ICCP

7-3 combined vs. that list of schools - not a lot of programs in Illinois could boast that type of resume.

and zero title game appearances since '08.

The tail wagging the dog: used to describe a situation in which an important or powerful person, organization, etc., is being controlled by someone or something that is much less important or powerful

FYI - you can google stuff like this.
So you're saying ESL is above the conference. Does that mean LA is above the CCL/ESCC?

There is also a rule proposal to remove the multiplier and classify private based on the average enrollment of all schools within the 30 mile radius that have a larger enrollment than the private school.

Something similar was proposed last year but I’m not sure if it got voted on or withdrawn.

Proposal 19, full text in the linked PDF below.

4 semifinals in the last 10 years. And returning 17 starters next year positioning them as the heavy favorites in 5A in 2025 before this season is even over.

Unless you pull for a top CCL program or the likes of Maine South / ESL / LWE / DGN…the school you support would get boat raced by Francis.

Soooo, a bunch of who cares and what might be's without playing the actual game?

Can't make a 5A final but compares themselves to MS, ESL ,LWE, and DGN; makes sense...

Not a single lie told in my post, and the results of the last 2 years support it.

What school do you support?

Why would I be mad? St. F can't get of their own conference. All of a sudden their giddy that the real teams are moving up?

So they were just waiting for the good teams to move up before they could be successful?

Actually not giddy at all…hate that JCA and Naz are moving up next year. Would love to roll out next years team with all the graduations on both those squads and see what happens. I know SIUCubFan feels the same.

You keep dodging my question though…what school do you support?

Also to your “can’t get of their own conference” I’ll try and translate first and then answer…if you mean St. Francis can’t get out of their own conference…they won the CCL green last year. Tied for 1st this year. Beat Loyola…but yes they’re such a mediocre program because they lost to Naz @ Naz in the semis back to back years. 20-6 the last two years while beating Loyola, Rita, Naz, JCA, IC, Sycamore, etc….odd comment “waiting to be successful”. Looks like plenty of success to me.

Obviously you haven't been around long enough, I'm a Morris guy.

All that matters is they lost. You can say they had some good wins or finished 1st, but the end is all that matters. you tried and failed

I would worry about Morris not getting 40 pieced by *checks notes* Kaneland again next year before you take any more time to comment on St. Francis’ “lack of success”.

P.S. 2008 is more recent than 2005…and St. Francis has had more postseason success in the last 3 years than Morris has had in the entire 21st century when somebody who isn’t named Dergo is in the backfield.

Water your own backyard - and let the Naz and Loyola people chirp about SF losing in the semis the last three years.

Would they though in a 2.5 multiplier system where potentially almost 25% of the 8A class is Loyola, Mt. Carmel, Brother Rice, Marist, St. Ignatius, St. Rita and Fenwick?

I think that would get some pushback if they were all eliminating each other in the quarters and semis.
Yea
