What would Leo do in the 1A playoffs?

I always feel bad for Leo... A tiny school forced to play a (albeit lower level) CCL schedule each year with almost no hope of cobbling together 5 wins. I have to imagine if they played a more "1A" schedule (Christ the King, St. Edward, etc.) they might have a shot to make a little noise in the playoffs. Last time in (2013) they won 3 games and lost in the semis to eventual champ Le-Win! What do you think they could do in 1A if they got a berth?

A few data points from this season:

• Lost by 19 to 3A playoff team Genoa-Kingston out of the Big Northern
• Lost by 1 to 6A playoff team Amundsen who is competitive in the CPL Red, wins over Lane, LP, Niles North
• Dominated a very bad Noble team out of the CPS (Can someone explain what Noble was doing scheduling St. Laurence, Marmion, AND Leo?)
• Lost by 6 to 5A playoff team Marmion
• Played reasonably competitive games against Marian Cath and St. Patrick
• Blown out by Rita, Larry, ND

Much respect to those kids and coaches at Leo for coming out each year to play a (relative to size) gauntlet CCL schedule. Lots of history at that program! Would love to see them find a path to 5 wins in the future.

We all hate to see school closures,consolidations & drop football. Imagine had things still been going well. You’d have Conferences with Leo,Mendel,SFDS,Hales,Seton,De La Salle in 1 & Weber,Guerin,St.Joe’s,Luther North,Luther South & Walther in another

I think they could potentially make the quarters depending on the draw.

I know very little about the current Leo team other than the HC is a good dude.

Always loved watching Leo play. Low on numbers but huge on heart and they have some talent usually but just run out of gas.

They would struggle to beat the NUIC 1A teams that made the playoffs and you always run into one of them within 2 rounds.

Leo had a phenomenal team in 2013. They lost to Lena-Winslow 45-22 in the semifinals. The team they had then had superior talent to the one they have now. It depends on the draw, I guess, but that squad was pretty special.

Had a guy that went to Syracuse and played a lot there if I remember correct.
