To help my family out, I listed the upcoming games in chronological order. (In the order which the events will occur). I have found that I have to explain myself more thoroughly. This is not coming from Mrs. Soup. Please do not read the St. Rita at St. Charles North thread. It will make you forget what day it is or where you left your car-entrance-allower, formerly known as keys.

8 teams left in the state playoffs. 2 games feature 4 of them. So that gives us 6 state playoff games to predict and 2 games for the forever honorable Prep Bowl playoffs. 8 points up in the air?

Who is going to finish 8 and 0 this week? Good Luck Fam!

LA -17....the LA machine seems to be back on track after Wk 9.
SCN +9....I like Rita in this game. Giving 9 on the road seems a bit much, though.
Naz -12....the young Roadrunners seem to be rolling, and it's at Naz.
R-B +6....Provi has played a gauntlet since Wk 7. Are they banged up? R-B is rested and ready.
Ignatius -2....great matchup here. I like the Ignatius offense a bit more than the Dons.
Rice +24....with the MC injuries and expected frigid temps on Saturday night, seems like too many points.

Friars +23
Pats -6
LA -17
Rita -9
Naz -12
Provi -6
Iggy -2
Men of Edmund +24

Looking forward to seeing how wrong I am

DLS...Fenwick comes out a bit uninspired. Talent will win out, but I see a two TD win for the Friars.

Pats -6...Dons won the Prep Bowl last year. Shamrocks want to win a Prep Bowl this year.

Loyola -17...Ramblers roll by four TDs.

SCN +9...Mustangs by a FG on the road.

Morgan Park +12...I think this is a one TD game either way, slight lean towards Morgan Park for me.

Providence -6...Celtics are rolling. Think they get this one by two TDs.

Iggy -2...I have the Wolfpack by 10 points. I don't see the Dons scoring enough to keep up. 20-10 final.

Rice +24...Injuries, rivalry, freezing cold weather. This one has upset potential. I think the Caravan win but not by 24.

Going back to my eye and smell prognostication. Last week I studied like my predictions actually matter. They don't and I stunk up the joint. This week back to my gut. My secret sauce has always been emotions and turnovers. Exceptional coaches also a factor so here it goes.

Fenwick -23

St. Patrick -6

Loyola Academy -17

St. Rita -9

Morgan Park 12

Providence Catholic -6

St. Ignatius -2

Brother Rice 24

Fenwick
St Pats

St Charles North

Richmond Burton

Obviously, Gambletron hasn't read the injury reports. But I am pleased with his CCLESCC fandom - his trip to Cork and Kerry had a lasting effect.

Hate to rain on the men of Edmund but this might bode well this weekend for them.

November 10th, 1975.
No time for a distress call.
The Edmund Fitzgerald went down.
29 sailors perished in the ice cold waters of Lake Superior that day.

I'd come up with a better cheer this weekend than "here's to the men of Edmund."

Oak Park (Fenwick)
Burbank (St. Laurence)
Wilmette (Loyola)
St. Charles (North)
Chicago (Morgan Park)
Richmond-Burton
Chicago (St. Ignatius)
Chicago (Brother Rice)
*but MC wins by 23.5*

Well played. The skies of November might turn gloomy for BR on Saturday. Really just hoping for another close game. It’s a big ask to think BR wins this game even with no Dupree.

Just under the gun!

Will take penalty on Fenwick

Larry +6

LA -17

SCN +9- I was going to take Rita until a post asking why is the winner of the DVS getting 9 at home....good point...

Naz -12- They are clicking at the right time. Naz by 14

RB + 6

SI -2

BR +24- Caravan by 14. 7 point game, MC pulls ahead by 14 late.

week12 news and notes:

newcomer 80srambler joined his Jesuit educated brother Ignazio and refref for the weekly leader, picking 5 of 8 correctly

Par was a turrible 3.26 allowing bnr, bc and abty to join 80s, Ig and ref in gaining on the field.

Bnr, going back to using his senses and dropping any research, takes the solo lead in the total playoff race

McCar does just enough to retain 1st in total wins and winning percentage for the full season

See you late tomorrow night for a new drop of games! to be released exclusively on the Marquee Network (not really), it will be released exclusively in a new thread, on Edgy, like always
