Was able to reach out to Charlie via text and here is the latest recruiting update.
"Recruiting is going good. I just recently got offered from Central Michigan and Toledo which was pretty exciting."
"I have offers now from Northwestern, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Central Michigan and Toledo."
"I'm planning to make an overnight visit to Northwestern. I think I'm also going to go out to a Michigan State basketball game. I have other schools I want to go see but I haven't set any plans just yet."
"I don't have any real favorites. i think I want to be committed before the start of my senior season."
My Thoughts on Charlie Schmidt recruiting? Schmidt has been steadily adding offers this winter and I expect more to follow. Schmidt is a high level academics kid and seeing offers from the likes of NW and Vanderbilt just make me feel one of those two could wind up landing Schmidt. My guess is NW and we will have a better idea of where Schmidt is at with the Wildcats after his soon to be overnight visit. NW has had a ton of success with it's overnight visits over the past several years...
