Success factor ( move up )

You need to make it down state both years of the 2 year window to be success factored up as a private school. So that doesn’t apply to Fenwick and Naz will be success factored up to 6a.

Is ESL still 6a? Fenwick is now what ? Is naz now 7a?
All.... As it applies to the Friars it depends. With all the wailing by the public schools on the 2024 final results among the different classes the Ihsa is being pressured to hamstring or eliminate private school success with even more discriminatory changes or policies.

Very little has come out just rumors. Fenwick in the last two year enrollment window was Catholic Taxed (multiplied) at 1819.95. The new enrollment policy change (a good thing) does away with the two season rule and now class designation is one year only. 2024 reported numbers will determine 2025 placement.

In 2024 the Friars ended up the smallest postseason team in class 7A. The current waiver policy which the publics continue to raise holy hell about would be in effect for Fenwick circa 2025. That is not winning three postseason games over two years (2023 and 2024) This is not how you figure it out but only a lazy example. 1819.95 not multipled is 1,103. Tossing out the three schools who decided to petition up in 6A and looking at last years 32 5A qualifiers (851.50-1272.50) the landing pad for Fenwick unless their enrollment exploded in 2024 would put them likely in class 5A. But one of those rumors I mentoned is the elimination of the waiver starting this year. Stay tuned. Ratsy

I'm assuming that a school like East Side that has petitioned up a class (5A enrollment up to 6A) for a previous two year period...now under the new enrollment rule will now be a yearly request to move up? Also I keep hearing rumblings of a public success factor coming into play (rumor) and if that's the case does East St. L end up in 7A now if they are indeed success factored (won 6A moved up a class to 7A)?
