New OC Coach Lester is slowly revamping that offense. Kaleb Johnson had a career year on the ground. I heard Lester implemented only 25% of his system so far. I’m not predicting they become Texas Tech of yesteryear, but we’ve seen Iowa QBs get drafted over the years.

The Iowa QB room under Brian Ferentz was terrible, getting Hank Brown from Auburn will help and they signed a decent QB out of high school but they need more help. Lester is looking to install the 49ers system but they need a QB.

NIU’s starter Ethan Hampton just transferred to the Illini to backup the returning starter. Just so odd.

I remember way back when, when backups in the power 5 used to transfer down to, ya know, actually play and see the field.

I think Hampton and hammock Didn’t see eye to eye after the turnover struggles Hampton developed after ND game.

He's got one year of FB left, and received NIL to be a backup in the B1G. Vs getting far less NIL and being a backup at NIU.
