Whitelow also made the visit to Illinois last Wednesday with some of his teammates. Whitelow, who already had an offer from the old Illinois staff recaps his latest Illinois visit.

"I went to Illinois with my teammates. It was an amazing visit. It just feels like a totally different atmosphere at Illinois. I was able to meet head coach Lovie Smith and he just brings a ton of excitement and energy to the room."

"I was able to sit down and talk a lot with Illinois WR coach (Andrew Hayes Stoker) and he was a great help. I spent about 30 minutes with him and he watched some of my video and gave me some great tips on how I can improve my game."

"I was able to see more of the campus this time at Illinois. I was able to see some of the dorms and Illinois just treated us great."

"Illinois is one of my favorites for now. I'm still not in any hurry to make a decision. Kendrick (Green) and I talk about recruiting all the time and we just don't want it to take away from our senior season. Our goal is getting a ring this year and that takes top priority. I'm keeping my options open for now."

Whitelow also has a few more visits planned.

"I'm going to Western Illinois on Friday with Kendrick (Green). I also want to go to Illinois State soon and I also need to get out to visit Western Michigan too."

EDGY's Thoughts on Jamir Whitelow:
Very strong receiver and athlete. Just not sure that the bigger level schools will wait until the winter for Whitelow to make a decision. Schools (especially Illinois/Big Ten level schools) just want to lock kids up ASAP and will no question push hard on an early decision. I fully expect several Power 5 schools to come into Peoria to watch Whitelow run and work out etc.
