Peoria (Ill.) three star ranked wide receiver recruit Jamir Whitelow (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) takes a few minutes to get us caught up on his latest recruiting news here.

"I'm going to have a lot of 7on7's and I might make it to one or two camps," Whitelow said. "I'm just not sure when I'll be in town to go to some of the camps since we have a pretty busy team schedule this month."

Whitelow knows of a few camps he is planning to attend.

"I know that our team is planning to go to both NIU and Northwestern for 7on7's. I'm still waiting to get the full schedule from my head coach (Tim Thornton). I might also go to North Central College for a satellite camp."

So which schools are still recruiting Whitelow?

"Iowa and Syracuse have been on me pretty hard, and the same with Central Michigan and Ball State. They have showed so heavy interest. They all want me to camp but I have so much going on I'm not sure they will get to see me at camps."

Whitelow has also been starting to draw recruiting looks at a few different positions.

"Illinois State is looking at me as a free safety and Ball State liked me as more of a tight end. As long as coaches don't beat around the bush with me and are straight with me about what they want from em then I'm 100 percent fine playing another position. I just wanna play."

EDGY's Take on Whitelow's recruiting: It could get interesting for Whitelow. Whitelow won't be able to get out to camp much this summer and most of the coaches I've talked to about Whitelow really like him but they also all wanted to see him run this summer. Whitelow also had earlier offers from Illinois and WMU...and I'm guessing those have been pulled by now...especially since the Illinois offer came from the old staff. Stay tuned.
