A down year is very rare for them, but I do think the other teams in the conference will be better than them this year on paper. Lets see how the results fare on the field because historically not many WSS teams beat them
Some other announcers may annoy ALL fans game-long by cuing home supporters with a few words before the obedient sheep follow with something like, "another (fill in mascot name) 1st down."
Absolutely, but especially in one-sided games in the home team's favor, it really is far too repetitive.
LWE @ Kenwood Thursday of Week 1 at 7pm Gately Stadium. Interesting.
I'm gonna say that GBW doesnt make the playoffs this year.
All..... I don 't know if the referee shortage has anything to do with it but Steve Soucie tweeted out last week that for 2023 the Ihsa will allow Thursday game scheduling for week one only. I seem to recall CPS teams had already been doing that often? Ratsy

Kenwood plays St. Rita @ St. Rita week #2. RB Ethan Middleton from St. Rita transferred to Kenwood. I'm sure he wanted to be the number one guy but playing behind DJ Stewart his carries would have been limited at RB. With Hopkins hiring Heisman Trophy runner-up Brad Banks as QB coach I was thinking Ethan would have got a lot of touches in the open field where he would be very dangerous. But I can understand him wanting to be the number one guy.
With these games and some transfers is Kenwood the flavor of the month? Are they the new Phillips H.S...... Those are two tough games weeks one and two!
Kenwood also got a 4 Star WR from Bolingbrook with numerous Power 5 offers in I’Marion Stewart. They also have a 5 Star DE....even with those 2 and the addition of Middleton I like SR and LWE in my way to damn early prediction because while Kenwood may have 5 real good players, SR and LWE have more complete teams and experienced Coaching staffs in big games (Yes I know Hopkins and some of additions are new but it’s not their first rodeo)Middleton is going to miss SRs horses they constantly have up front blocking. Not saying Kenwood doesn’t have big boys but how will they be in the 4th Q of a warm Aug/Sep night? Stay tuned.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like Kenwood is the new Phillips High School for the CPS.
