Q of the Week: So What's Next?

IHSA has added and now has removed district scheduling...yet the issue of making a schedule and keeping various conferences together still remains.

Schools at the smallest enrollment levels are seeing more schools elect to play 8 Man football versus 11 man....good thing? Bad thing? Impact on the overall playoff system?

Lots to ponder here...so the4 question is intended to be very vague....

So What's Next for IHSA Football?

Some ideas I can think of-

*shortened season and more playoff teams
*allow a scrimmage
*eliminating the KO
*private and public separated playoffs
*spring practice
*mandated sensors in helmets and players must be evaluated if impact is at certain point on sensor
*helmet caps required for all practices
