Preseason Prep Bowl 2018 one game announced

Really?
its about time they changed it up, there was no competition left for the Catholic schools. The public league hasnt won or come close in 12 years
Simeon beat MC in 2010. And as a matter of fact Morgan Park beat Providence one of those years too.

I agree that the event could use new blood, I just thought the idea was to have Chicago schools represented by at least one of the participants in each game. If they are opening it up then I'd like to see some regional representation. PC vs Lockport should be played in the south burbs somewhere.

These are regular season games not the actual Prep Bowl. The IHSA does not care who plays here.

Simeon, Phillips and Curie are the only 3 CPS schools left that can hang with teams.

The only thing that matters for the week 1 soldier field games is $$$$
and I guarantee this year they lost money. Naz vs Fenwick would be another great game. Mt Carmel will play some scrub team as the 3rd game.

The bigger news, and I've been wondering when this would happen, is that the DGN v Lockport game is finally over. At some point you gotta get tired of seeing the same team every year in non-conference.

I think a potential game might be BR vs Mich BR. Cause BR -Marist is week 2 next year.

I don't really care one way or another who they play. Their success means nothing.

They will miss the playoffs this year simply because of their schedule.

They still may have missed with two CPS schools week 1 and 2. They just wont even be close now.

Schedule 2 to 3 years out for 4 year contract
This year was done 6 or 7 years ago
AD has control of that as well

all non conference games that Brother Rice has scheduled are done by the Head Coach or one of his close assistants. The schedule is his doing, not Steve Nye. Jesus, the guy is having a tough year, his juniors just experienced their first loses this year and the sophomores have yet to lose.

I think that timeline is more for college I thought the Rice/Marist thing as well as the Brother Rice Michigan were two year agreements.

The last time Rice did not make the playoffs it was because they went to Michigan and Indianapolis in the same season, not necessarily becasue of their team's ability. This year will be the same.

They also need to better align their home and road schedules if they are going to do play top shelf teams.

You can't be overly critical for their schedule as long as it is not hurting their enrollment.

I really like what Rita did the last two years. They know know the blue could give them a couple of losses.

Loyola has the horses to play 6 top flight teams annually. Most teams do not.

Believe me, I wish they had an easier schedule and hope for one in the future. The CCL blue is hard enough
The head coach can't be blamed for scheduling entirely

Krock Stop!!! Marist was a Badke thing! Crete Monee is there because he could not find anyone else. Cahill has nothing to do with the schedule.

Better yet, we know that one of the assistants does all of his scheduling. If you are in the "know" Krock

Since Badke took over.
