You could honestly make the case that the past few years that the two teams in the 1A championship could have both been from the NUIC.

I thought Chicago Hope might be able to give Forreston a game. Not even close. Of the four NUIC schools left, their combined playoff record against Chicago area schools is 22-3, with no losses since 2010. Even Pec-Durand, one of smaller 3A teams, played Reed-Custer closer than anyone else this year.
