D2 Northern Michigan added 9 Chicagoland verbal commits over the weekend. One of the recruiters is former LW East player Karl Maslowski and the Chicagoland kids include

Karl is a great guy...thought he should have been kept in tact with that WKU staff that went to USF, glad he is making an impact on young men still. Hope his family is doing well up north, not an easy place to get back and forth to and with little ones not easy being away from family.

Ya definitely have to agree with you there! I loved coach Maz! He recruited me to WKU and if it wasn't for a coaching change it would have been hard to say no to him and that program!

My brother went to NMU. I remember back in 1974 when NMU went winless with losses against the likes of DIII schools like UW Whitewater and St. Norbert (actually in the NAIA back then). The very next year NMU were national champs in DII. Incredible turnaround at the collegiate level.

The 2014 and 2015 classes look to have some nice depth, maybe another major turnaround is in the works.
