OPRF's John Hoerster. He suffered a serious heart attack over the summer and there were questions as to if he would coach this season. Not only is he coaching, he's doing a very good job with a 6-2 mark (the Huskies easily could be 8-0 with a couple of plays from the Waubonsie and Hinsdale Central games - both 7-point losses). His defense is playing terrific and the offense has gradually improved as the season has progressed. OPRF will be a tough out in 8A

+1

Hoerster coached his ass off. Never seen that team play such a solid game this late in the season. Super prepared and stayed with Hetlet’s half time adjustments. Top shelf job.

Definitely Warren’s Bryan McNulty! He’s changed the culture of the Warren football program- focusing on teamwork- creating a family of players. Focusing on strength & conditioning & hard work every play on the field and during practice and strong academics off the field. #1 defense in the NSC with 5 shutouts so far, winning the NSC, and sending his players on to play in D1 programs.

Dan Hutchings from Coal City.... Coalers are 7-1 and pitched their 4th shut out this week vs. Reed Custer. Only allowed 6 scores all year.
