Please nominate your worthy state-wide nominees from Week 6 IHSA action for Coach of the Week. Please also incluude any important info/stats etc.

Thanks

Dragan Teonic of South Elgin as his team goes undefeated and wins the Upstate 8 conference with a win over previously unbeaten Bartlett which avenged last year's loss. This team seems to get better year after year.

Nick Cook Chicago Christian. Season record at 5-1 , the only loss came against Bishop Mac. First conference title for CC since 2006 when they were a member of the old Private School League.

I’ll nominate Chuck Spagnoli. For a 6A team that competes in a conference with schools much bigger Lake Forest completed its season at 6-0 to share the NSC title - their first since he has been there.

Robert Pomazak, St. Charles North should be the Bears IHSA Coach of the Week, was one fumbled punt away from an undefeated season in the toughest conference in the state.
He prepared his team to knock off #2 Wheaton Warrenville South rather convincingly to take the DuKane Conference Championship (4 conference teams ranked in 7A top ten).

Dukane is a very good football conference, but it is not the toughest in the state. The entire CCL Blue conference is ranked in the top 7 in Edgy's poll.

Hmmmmm.... you weren’t a little nervous around the 2-3 min mark yesterday in the 4q?

Coach Brian Griffin Hinsdale Central, beat Lyons 31-10 to go 6-0 as WSC Conference champs with the dominating signature win of the season over Glenbard West ranked #6 at the time.
I’ll second Brian Griffin, and add the Red Devil Defense gave up 31 points all year, with only 10 coming outside the 4th Quarter.

I like this pick. They seem to be getting better and better. Not a traditional power either. Playoff win last year and undefeated and unchallenged this year.
