NN pounds Neuqua 10-0... NNFAN jumps on bandwagon

With all the talk entering the 2010 season focused on Naperville Central in the DVC, another team has quietly jumped out to a 11-2 start. The Huskies, behind #5 pitcher Matt LaCosse's one-hitter, shutout Neuqua Valley on Saturday. It is still very early but perhaps we shouldn't hand the conference trophy to the Redhawks just yet.

Saturday May 1st...Central @ North...a double header starting at 10AM...Monday May 3rd...North vs Central at North Central College 4:30 PM..

Very impressed with LaCosse's performance...Neuqua is one of the top programs in the area...

And in a surprise move, Sieple (Central's coach) has named Dan Ludwig his starting pitcher this Saturday against Lockport. Sieple has never used one of his top pitchers in non conferernce games in this part of the season ever before.

What he is doing is setting up his pitching rotation so that Naperville North will see Central's two lefties during that Saturday doubleheader, then their best righty on Monday.

That Saturday doubleheader on May 1st will be regular season high school baseball at its best!
