Naz vs St Francis

Based on other threads, it seems the tuccs line has settled in at Naz +24. Not sure if it's final or not.

I think prior to this morning that was a fair assumption. However I saw that in the predictions thread the Regular season winner as well as runner up have both confidently picked Franny. That spooks the Tuccs and moves the line closer to -27. We will see how I am feeling tomorrow morning.

Sandbagging paused for the moment....Where are all the Francis guys? Things were a lot more talkative this time last year. What are your keys to the game this go around?

For me I think Naz has to play their best game they have played all season. They have to get off the field on 3rd Down and not give up any 4th down conversions. They also need to work on creating a field longer than 40 yards for St Francis.

If we are going to talk about the game sure I'll talk about it.
I think SF needs to be strong in the ST area again. Those KO returns really killed Naz in regular season game. I forget, can the Naz kicker regularly get it to the endzone?
Both teams need to make the other O work for TDs. It has been to easy for Naz to score in these games.
Does Naz double SF #5?
SF had a few different guys at RB against Syc. Don't know if that was injury or giving a different look.
SF needs at least 1 TO....don't care how it comes.
SF needs to get some pressure on Franchise.
Injuries, it is the semi-finals so both teams are gonna be banged up.
Do either team try to adjust and do something a little different since they know each other very well? Maybe come out and try to really run the ball? Or is it here is our best, here is your best and lets do what we do?
Weather shouldn't be much of a factor, I like that. Though it would have been weird to seed the game played in yesterdays conditions.
Do we see guys going on both sides of the ball more than other games they have played in playoffs?
SF cannot get down in this game early, like last years playoff game.
Naz had some "dumb penalties" in first game and SF has had some dumb penalties all year. If you want to win this game can't give them free 1st downs, extend drives ect.
In all honesty I just cannot see the Naz SRs losing this game. They have been here and won before. They want to close out their legacy with a state championship. No sandbagging just so much experience. What sucks and this is selfish, is a Naz win means they are 6A next year. Sure, we get a regular season game, but I enjoy the budding rivalry and the two times a year.

I think SF needs to win the turnover battle as SIU said, as well get some run game going. I think a big part of last years Naz semifinal win was that Naz ran the ball extremely well and SF couldn’t get anything going.

SF needs to make Naz 1-dimensional and stay 2-dimensional.

The last two years I felt lik SF was the favorite going in / had a very good chance to win. I have zero expectations going into this game.

Will anyone take up Jwar on his inevitable offer of a wager?

So many subplots to this one.
PJJP, again I will not be betting on this game but regardless of outcome I would likely be interested in a normal bet in the favor of the winner of this game for the chip! All that said, my pick for tomorrow’s game is for St Francis to upset the oddsmakers and also win the ML! SF -4.5.

Well that seals it. JWar picked against the beloved it's over kids. Congrats to Franny on their Championship Season!

Wow. This pick surprises me, especially after you said earlier you were leaning Naz.

I’ll take Naz with the +24. Heck I’ll take Naz to win outright but don’t tell anyone.

Unless it’s someone headed to Stanford or a QB with disturbingly low looks from schools for being a back to back state champ with stats comparable to anyone else I doubt anyone being out will have that big of an effect on the game.

There is only one explanation and that’s JWar has joined team Lou Holtz and is putting on the reverse jinx. A page out of the old Tuccs playbook.
