I wonder what an attorney would say about the multiplier.

Using Chicago Hope as an example, their enrollment says they should be in 1A and nothing in the history of their program shows any reason they should be multiplied up 1 class...let alone 2 classes. With the IHSA's multiplier they are bumped up to 3A and draw Byron in the first round. Byron's DL is significantly bigger and they lose 63-0. Hope's OL gets dominated all day and their QB breaks his leg ending his football career because the LT got dominated and gives up a blindside sack.

Does that kids parents have a lawsuit? The IHSA forced our kid to play a school twice our size, he got hurt and now he can never play football again losing out on college scholarships/NIL potential/emotional distress/etc...

All... Already happened to some extent. If I recall correcty the Ihsa did a work around and made things worse. A partial explanation recently by ramblinman can be viewed post #24 in the Ihsa March Meeting subject thread. Ratsy

There are a lot of parents who could sue the CCL making them play schools a lot bigger in the regular season with that logic .

Do bigger schools always have bigger kids? Berwyn Morton has 7758 students and is almost 4 times the size of Loyola Academy (1985). If LA and Morton played in the playoffs, and the same Hope scenario occurred would the LA quarterback's family think to sue?

I am leaning towards no.
