Very well said… unforced errors were disgustingUgly ugly MS game. Hats off to Palatine. MS did not come to win. Sometimes you need a good kick in the ass. So hopefully this is what the doctor ordered.
Spot on. Play of the night was that te lining up as a tackle. They had the QB lined up as a tight end, then they shifted the QB back to shotgun which opened up that tackle(normally the TE) as the end man on LOS. They kept the slot receiver covered and sold a bubble because he couldn’t go out. Then slipped the tight end on the seam. Great play call.Putting aside the multiple mental and physical mistakes by MS: dropped TD passes, key picks, dropped pitches, broken plays, a huge congratulations goes out to Palatine.
They deserved to win last night. The Palatine coaches came to win and they threw the kitchen sink at MS. A tell should have been the opening onside kick followed by a wide receiver reverse and throw within the first 10 plays. Also followed up by the the Palatine tackle lining up as a wide receiver later on which thoroughly confused the MS defense and resulting in a a wide open TE catching an easy TD pass. The MS defense or the the coaches should have called a time out.
It's not often the MS coaches are caught off guard and don't have the boys loaded for bear.
On a positive note, this MS club is very talented and everything that happened last night is correctable with a few changes and mental adjustments.
Coaches knew who it was going to but kids will be kids. Next time.Spot on. Play of the night was that te lining up as a tackle. Agreed but a TO have been called by the sideline. Lots to learn by all involved last night.Coaches knew who it was going to but kids will be kids. Next time.
No question a great team that MS worries about. I'm sure should MS advance down the road MS will be the underdogs. And Palatine played without Bostick, who was out with an injury
