Yah makes for a great “title game.” The next post I’m sure will be from someone stating they don’t deserve to be there. It’s an annual tradition just don’t know why we haven’t seen it yet.
How did you feel about last years 3A game, Byron 69 -7 win over Mt. Carmel?
The better team won and both teams deserved to be there. Byron beat Montini along the way if I recollect.
How exactly does that correlate to my post?
The Broncos went where they were sent, and also Byron had them on the ropes in the second round.
Byron would be doing the same thing to Monticello right now. They and Montini were head and shoulders above the competition in 3A this year.

Maybe I am missing your point, but my reading of your post is that the Montini - Monticello matchup is not making for a good "title game".
No it’s not. I agree on the 1-32 seeding needed.
I know the NUIC has been an advocate for that for years in 1A.
Problem is it’s gotta come in the form of a proposal or the IHsA won’t budge on it. There are also too many down state schools that don’t want it for fear it will only be Chicago area schools in the finals every year.
I don’t think its that complicated but something needs to be done became this is a really bad look for our sport.

Ref on montini’s side line is trying to make a name for himself. Calling sideline penalty on any player/coach in the white even 30 yards down the sideline. Watch the players on the field ya clown
If they did a true 1-32 then it would be Byron vs Montini this game.
I gotta go back and watch that Byron game. I still can’t believe they shut down this offense. I remember they had a couple picks.
