I came here to post for a few seconds and returned to stream and couldn't believe they didn't OS kick.

Only wear them for Homecoming and they get 1 home playoff game with them. One of those things nobody thought they would miss until they were gone! They are fan favorites when they are wornI thought MC got rid of their ugly Yellow pants?

Outstanding offensive performance by MC I give them a A. Defense gets a D. They tightened up a little the second half but gave up way too many big plays and had some untimely and unnecessary penalties that continued a couple drives for Normal where they would have punted. It was like the Hun game, but we won.
The MC broadcast is great. It is tops in CCL.
They are young. 2 Sophs and 1 Freshman starting which has never happened at MC to my knowledge. I think they will have 8 starters back on defense next year. Fast paced explosive teams have given them trouble, offense has had to bail them out a few times. You shouldn't have to score 49 points and be concerned if your still going to win. That being said, as long as they get win in the end that's what matters. Next year with a lot more experience they will be playing like the defenses MC has had the past couple years.
I'm less inclined to criticize Carmel's defense than to commend Normal's highly proficient offense. Look at their margins of victory: 33, 41, 56, 42, 59, etc. This was a high-scoring team that went 10-1 for a reason. The difference in this game was Jack Elliott, who will be the difference in the next game too.

You are right, I don't want to take anything away from Normal, they have a high powered offense. Letting up so many points it's just something we as MC fans aren't accustomed to seeing. So far this year they have let up 261 points in 12 games. 2023 team let up 147 points in 14 games. The 2022 team let up 135 in 14 games. Again I'm thankful they are winning, I'm thank very impressed with Elliott's toughness and leadership and I'm also highly impressed by the young talented WRs Burrell and Thornton, they will be fun to watch the next two/three seasons. But yes I'm not used to seeing so many points scored against MC. Again we shouldn't be concerned that we may lose after scoring 49 points. That should mean running clock.
