Playing ESL earlier this year helped Loyola build moving forward. IMHO, LWE needs to seek out better tune-up out of conference games.LWE will be back next year no question. They have one to beat eventually they will figure it out next year?

Wasn’t referring to you Corey. More to those suggesting the talent gap was massive. I saw it with your QB and receivers. Nowhere else.I think I said East D was not what we have been used to seeing in an earlier post.
I don’t know anyone who follows LWE regularly would have made that statement this season Rambler.I’m just a fan so can someone explain to me if LWE defensive talent was “clearly superior” to LA’s offense. I didn’t see that. In fact, this is second year in a row LWE D looked ordinary (or at least not world class) against LA.
You know the sad thing is, when I go to watch a game in person, I’m always within earshot of the screaming woman or man. I’ve reported repeatedly that I loath going to ND games at times because I can’t stand listening to drunk city employees screaming at the coach. People lose all sense of decency when they are at their kids games. I understand the emotion, I’ve been there and I’m just as emotionally invested but people really need to get some perspective.changing a tire on the stevenson might be a more peaceful experience than sitting between the air horn and the screamer in the LWE stands
Tried and the Florida School bailed last minute. I agree TigerforFlyers. LWE doesn’t have a lot of options with the chaos in conference shuffles in the south and west suburbs still not settled. We miss the olde SICA conferences.Playing ESL earlier this year helped Loyola build moving forward. IMHO, LWE needs to seek out better tune-up out of conference games.
i can't speak to the talent but i was promised clearly superior halftime adjustmentsI’m just a fan so can someone explain to me if LWE defensive talent was “clearly superior” to LA’s offense. See the earlier thread on Refs. The general consensus is that if you can’t show proof of a specific play in question and/or you aren’t going to participate and be an official referee - your comments aren’t warranted.Loyola had a ton of help from the refs tonight. That is all.......
You had to recruit the kid from Bolingbrook all to lose AGAIN?Loyola had a ton of help from the refs tonight. That is all.......
Maine South?Playing ESL earlier this year helped Loyola build moving forward. IMHO, LWE needs to seek out better tune-up out of conference games.
that's not the IMG ESL played, IMG white is a second team the school has that plays a regular florida schedule, IMG "National" is the team that's the household nameMaine South?
And they were supposed to play Dover (Specially Fit Acad) in East St. Louis, before they backed out. Dover just lost to IMG by 1 point too.
Anyone that actually knows football knows that a lot of these calls are close and can be interpreted many ways so to roast the officials is just stupid. Only call that is truly agregious in my opinion is the officiating crew losing track of downs and a team getting an additional 5th Down as we've seen before.See the earlier thread on Refs. The general consensus is that if you can’t show proof of a specific play in question and/or you aren’t going to participate and be an official referee - your comments aren’t warranted.
They played the real team, not the tuition paid team.that's not the IMG ESL played, IMG white is a second team the school has that plays a regular florida schedule, IMG "National" is the team that's the household name
They did play an 8A quarterfinalist and an 8A semi finalist! I mean it’s not like our Flyers but…Playing ESL earlier this year helped Loyola build moving forward. IMHO, LWE needs to seek out better tune-up out of conference games.
Next season, LWE appears to have Maine South and Kankakee in Weeks 1 and 2. The next 6 weeks they have SW Valley teams, 2 of which made the playoffs this year - NC and NN. Then seemingly open Week 9?Playing ESL earlier this year helped Loyola build moving forward. IMHO, LWE needs to seek out better tune-up out of conference games.
Not sure about that and the stats would not support this. He’s very good, obviously, and capable of explosive plays but he was not the better of the two QB’s tonight.IMO Jonas Williams was the best player on the field
specially fit academy, who just hired the last chance u star midseason to generate some attention, probably wasn't the attempt at tougher non-conference opponents that the rest of us had in mind. bishop sycamore written all over thatThey played the real team, not the tuition paid team.
No. They did not play the same team esl played. Img has atleast 3 teams. They played the real team, not the tuition paid team.
In the last 5 weeks LA has beaten MC, Marist, MS and LWEThey did play an 8A quarterfinalist and an 8A semi finalist! I mean it’s not like our Flyers but…
Impressive. I’m still disgusted. In the last 5 weeks LA has beaten MC, Marist, MS and LWE
I was referring to the team ESL played. Got confused.No. They did not play the same team esl played. Img has atleast 3 teams.
Impressive. I’m still disgusted.
Yea I got confused. ESL played the real team, correct? That’s what maxpreps says at least.No. They did not play the same team esl played. Img has atleast 3 teams.
I’m sure Thor will have his hammer and many mapped out graphics ready to go next weekend.
For example the pass inteference call on East at the end of the game to extend Loyolas drive. Numerous missed holding calls on Loyola. It was one sided all game.See the earlier thread on Refs. The general consensus is that if you can’t show proof of a specific play in question and/or you aren’t going to participate and be an official referee - your comments aren’t warranted.
The only thing one-sided is LWE losing to Loyola every year. For example the pass inteference call on East at the end of the game to extend Loyolas drive. Numerous missed holding calls on Loyola. It was one sided all game.
Opinions matter? Not sure about that and the stats would not support this. He’s very good, obviously, and capable of explosive plays but he was not the better of the two QB’s tonight.
always love "numerous missed holding calls" complaint. You could likely call holding on every play but not surprisingly the losing team is the one who always notices these calls. For example the pass inteference call on East at the end of the game to extend Loyolas drive. Yeah I know. We were looking forward to you guys playing in the classic this year and representing Illinois against Florida. I’m sure there will be other opportunities soon.Tried and the Florida School bailed last minute. I agree TigerforFlyers. LWE doesn’t have a lot of options with the chaos in conference shuffles in the south and west suburbs still not settled. We miss the olde SICA conferences.
Wait that’s ironic didn’t estl make IMG jump 5-6 in their game earlier this year ? I wonder if that’s a tactic they inherited!Alot of teams do it. I remember crete got esl to jump at least 5x a few years ago in the semi's. It wasn't a close game so it didn't matter though.
If the def can't simulate a snap, the offensive line shouldn't be able to do that. It's sole intent is to simulate the snap of the ball. Its esp tough in hs when simply crossing the neutral zone kills the play.
As an offensive lineman, I've always hated this notion. If you know how to block properly, nobody can accuse you of holding. I also hate the "it didn't impact the play" argument. Also a cop outYou could likely call holding on every play but not surprisingly the losing team is the one who always notices these calls.
Yes they got img multiple times with it. A few teams had gotten esl with that before they tried it in img.Wait that’s ironic didn’t estl make IMG jump 5-6 in their game earlier this year ? I wonder if that’s a tactic they inherited!
You gotta admit, hennessey is pretty bad though….You know the sad thing is, when I go to watch a game in person, I’m always within earshot of the screaming woman or man. No I won’tYou gotta admit, hennessey is pretty bad though….
On paper tough guy, watch the actual games much?!See the earlier thread on Refs. The general consensus is that if you can’t show proof of a specific play in question and/or you aren’t going to participate and be an official referee - your comments aren’t warranted.
Yet you fail to provide even one specific example of a bad call. Makes sense for a child to whine. On paper tough guy, watch the actual games much?!
You got da cheese for my wine doe?Yet you fail to provide even one specific example of a bad call. Makes sense for a child to whine.
