Playing ESL earlier this year helped Loyola build moving forward. IMHO, LWE needs to seek out better tune-up out of conference games.

You know the sad thing is, when I go to watch a game in person, I’m always within earshot of the screaming woman or man. I’ve reported repeatedly that I loath going to ND games at times because I can’t stand listening to drunk city employees screaming at the coach. People lose all sense of decency when they are at their kids games. I understand the emotion, I’ve been there and I’m just as emotionally invested but people really need to get some perspective.
Tried and the Florida School bailed last minute. I agree TigerforFlyers. LWE doesn’t have a lot of options with the chaos in conference shuffles in the south and west suburbs still not settled. We miss the olde SICA conferences.

See the earlier thread on Refs. The general consensus is that if you can’t show proof of a specific play in question and/or you aren’t going to participate and be an official referee - your comments aren’t warranted.

And they were supposed to play Dover (Specially Fit Acad) in East St. Louis, before they backed out. Dover just lost to IMG by 1 point too.
that's not the IMG ESL played, IMG white is a second team the school has that plays a regular florida schedule, IMG "National" is the team that's the household name
Anyone that actually knows football knows that a lot of these calls are close and can be interpreted many ways so to roast the officials is just stupid. Only call that is truly agregious in my opinion is the officiating crew losing track of downs and a team getting an additional 5th Down as we've seen before.
They did play an 8A quarterfinalist and an 8A semi finalist! I mean it’s not like our Flyers but…
Next season, LWE appears to have Maine South and Kankakee in Weeks 1 and 2. The next 6 weeks they have SW Valley teams, 2 of which made the playoffs this year - NC and NN. Then seemingly open Week 9?
Not sure about that and the stats would not support this. He’s very good, obviously, and capable of explosive plays but he was not the better of the two QB’s tonight.

No. They did not play the same team esl played. Img has atleast 3 teams.

For example the pass inteference call on East at the end of the game to extend Loyolas drive. Numerous missed holding calls on Loyola. It was one sided all game.
The only thing one-sided is LWE losing to Loyola every year.
always love "numerous missed holding calls" complaint. You could likely call holding on every play but not surprisingly the losing team is the one who always notices these calls.
I really hated listening to the horns all night, it reminded me of New Years Eve on Rush Street and of the crowd in Happy Gilmore when he tee's off. I didn't turn it down though because I was throughly amused by the fan who will ever be known as "the screaming lady". But all those horns and screams that drove us all nuts didn't phase Loyola at all...very impressive. That week two bye LWE was forced to take really hurt them tonight. They would have been challenged, they would have seen holes in there game plan that needed to be dealt with. Nothing wrong with losing a game or two in the regular season as long as you win the last game of the season.

Yeah I know. We were looking forward to you guys playing in the classic this year and representing Illinois against Florida. I’m sure there will be other opportunities soon.

As an offensive lineman, I've always hated this notion. If you know how to block properly, nobody can accuse you of holding. I also hate the "it didn't impact the play" argument. Also a cop out
Yes they got img multiple times with it. A few teams had gotten esl with that before they tried it in img.
Yet you fail to provide even one specific example of a bad call. Makes sense for a child to whine.
