LWE 24 LA 27 final

I’m just a fan so can someone explain to me if LWE defensive talent was “clearly superior” to LA’s offense. I didn’t see that. In fact, this is second year in a row LWE D looked ordinary (or at least not world class) against LA.
I don’t know anyone who follows LWE regularly would have made that statement this season Rambler.

changing a tire on the stevenson might be a more peaceful experience than sitting between the air horn and the screamer in the LWE stands
You know the sad thing is, when I go to watch a game in person, I’m always within earshot of the screaming woman or man. I’ve reported repeatedly that I loath going to ND games at times because I can’t stand listening to drunk city employees screaming at the coach. People lose all sense of decency when they are at their kids games. I understand the emotion, I’ve been there and I’m just as emotionally invested but people really need to get some perspective.

Playing ESL earlier this year helped Loyola build moving forward. IMHO, LWE needs to seek out better tune-up out of conference games.
Tried and the Florida School bailed last minute. I agree TigerforFlyers. LWE doesn’t have a lot of options with the chaos in conference shuffles in the south and west suburbs still not settled. We miss the olde SICA conferences.

See the earlier thread on Refs. The general consensus is that if you can’t show proof of a specific play in question and/or you aren’t going to participate and be an official referee - your comments aren’t warranted.
Anyone that actually knows football knows that a lot of these calls are close and can be interpreted many ways so to roast the officials is just stupid. Only call that is truly agregious in my opinion is the officiating crew losing track of downs and a team getting an additional 5th Down as we've seen before.

They played the real team, not the tuition paid team.
specially fit academy, who just hired the last chance u star midseason to generate some attention, probably wasn't the attempt at tougher non-conference opponents that the rest of us had in mind. bishop sycamore written all over that

Talk all comes down to one play and momentum. The muffed punt inside the Loyola 10 yard line could have spelled the difference in the game if not recovered by the same Rambler player who had only Griffins surrounding him.

Impressive. I’m still disgusted.

For example the pass inteference call on East at the end of the game to extend Loyolas drive. Numerous missed holding calls on Loyola. It was one sided all game.

always love "numerous missed holding calls" complaint. You could likely call holding on every play but not surprisingly the losing team is the one who always notices these calls.

I really hated listening to the horns all night, it reminded me of New Years Eve on Rush Street and of the crowd in Happy Gilmore when he tee's off. I didn't turn it down though because I was throughly amused by the fan who will ever be known as "the screaming lady". But all those horns and screams that drove us all nuts didn't phase Loyola at all...very impressive. That week two bye LWE was forced to take really hurt them tonight. They would have been challenged, they would have seen holes in there game plan that needed to be dealt with. Nothing wrong with losing a game or two in the regular season as long as you win the last game of the season.

Yeah I know. We were looking forward to you guys playing in the classic this year and representing Illinois against Florida. I’m sure there will be other opportunities soon.

Alot of teams do it. I remember crete got esl to jump at least 5x a few years ago in the semi's. It wasn't a close game so it didn't matter though.

If the def can't simulate a snap, the offensive line shouldn't be able to do that. It's sole intent is to simulate the snap of the ball. Its esp tough in hs when simply crossing the neutral zone kills the play.
Wait that’s ironic didn’t estl make IMG jump 5-6 in their game earlier this year ? I wonder if that’s a tactic they inherited!

As an offensive lineman, I've always hated this notion. If you know how to block properly, nobody can accuse you of holding. I also hate the "it didn't impact the play" argument. Also a cop out

Yes they got img multiple times with it. A few teams had gotten esl with that before they tried it in img.
