Admittedly not a big 8A guy, but would you take Loyola to win a game against York or NC this year?

I think LWE is a 3 TD favorite. Is there any narrative to support a close game? Is it that they beat the only good team they played this year, Naperville Central, by “only” 28-7? Is it that LWE was unbeatable in 2018? Is it that LWE had the best D in history of 8A last year? Is it that LA hasn’t played anywhere close to a complete game this year? I am struggling to see a close game here given LWE offense.
Not based on what I saw last night. Ramblers would have a puncher’s chance but I think they are 4th seed (😉) of remaining teams.

Should be an easy one to ID the culprit as the person was at the Marist game as well last week…and there were about 300 LA fans. It made the viewing of last years championship game a real pain on tape and in person. Sportsmanship should be handled by your own fans for this one folks.
It’s actually annoying for both sides. One fan shouldn’t ruin the experience for everyone else.
Someone on this board either knows the offender or can inquire. Seriously if they do it again they should be called out in front of everyone in the stands and be berated.
An airhorn shouldn’t be allowed in the first place.
As far as the game next week, my guess would be the BEAST by 3 scores.
Yesterday’s game at Hollywood was very well attended for all to witness the battle of the “better than average.” LA earned a one week moratorium on equipment turn in.
Both teams are well coached as always, but neither team IMHO have the stones to go any further. Neither team tackles very well. I felt like our QB didn’t have that great of a day. Our play calling was “meh”. I agree with the previous posters who suggested Hollywood should let Bliss call plays. Similarly, I was not impressed by the QB play for LA either.
Tinseltowns O-line was the deciding factor in this game. Our O-line was just as big and just as athletic, however the comparison ends there.

The game I attended at East mid-season this year, a bag check was in place at the gate, which could uncover this device unless concealed well?
East is far superior team. LA #15 QB draws can’t keep pace with LWE precision passing and pace. And LA Def is good, just not as good as other years MS faced them - and when MS won or lost. LWE coach is strong, and no doubt will NOT consistently throw at LA #1 who plays very tight CB coverage, and had 2 pick 6s. LWE Jonas Williams will likely not be sacked either. This will be the real 8A title game IMO.
Interesting question. I'm sure Jonas has matured a lot, but when he was a freshman at BB we beat them badly. His attitude and frustration got worse as the game went on. I don't think he will be in that situation though so they will be fine.
Every team has a hiccup game. Hoping for a nail biter in the fourth quarter to see what he's really made of. The closer the score in the second half, the more I like the Ramblers chances 💪
For the kid's sake, I hope that if it occurs, he steps up and delivers.
Stepping up and delivering would definitely be another feather in his cap 👍
I'm not very worried about a game played by a Fr on a different team two years ago.
East QB may rethink his Oregon commitment should he see the bone-headed fake FG called by HC Dan Lanning in the Wisconsin game Saturday. He has been the king of 2 or 3 ill-fated 4th down decisions every season the last few years, some leading directly to losses. Putting the game in the hands of the holder/punter who is kneeling on the ground is dumb, not aggressive. The color man on the broadcast was not shy about his astonishment.
Lanning is better than 99.9% of college coaches. I think he will be ok
There is talk around the NFL having interest in Lanning so I don’t think he is worried. He also has the Ducks #1 in college football. Just saying.
I think LWE is very very good at home. Does anyone have there home record over let’s say the past 10 years? I have been to a few games this year and they look the part. I see that LA has improved from the beginning of the season when they lost big to ESL. Just an observation because since East played MS there first game they have also improved. Not a surprise since a seriously doubt any team in the playoffs has gotten worse. This is going to be a good game. Two of the top programs in the state how could it not be. 😊
Jonas, he’s the difference from the past two years….big time. Home or away not sure it would matter.

What happened to the projected starting QB for LWE until Bolingbrook came calling? How many years was he in the LWE program and feeders waiting his turn?
