Lincoln-Way East junior OL Sam Diehl (6-foot-3, 270 pounds) added his first offer this week from Colgate.
"It feels great to get my first offer from Colgate. I did some research and they offer a great education. They also made the Sweet 16 last year in the FCS playoffs and overall it's a strong school and football program."
More schools have also been in touch with Diehl this spring.
"Colgate, Minnesota Duluth (D2), Kent State, Wyoming and Bowling Green have been in touch. WE are also expecting several college coaches to be in school soon for the spring evaluation period."
Diehl is now starting to consider his camp plans for this summer.
"I'm looking at camping at NIU along with Illinois State. I'm sure I'll add a few more soon."
EDGY's Thoughts on Diehl? Just a very solid interior OL type. Could be a MAC level potential kid with a strong showing this spring and summer. Could be a very good player/fit at the FCS level. ISU has also fared well with LW East kids so pay attention to the Redbirds here.
