Watching a lot of games this year, I've noticed a disproportionate amount of injuries on kickoffs compared to all other plays. Both head injuries and lower body injuries. The NFL has moved touchbacks up to the 25, college has not only moved touchbacks to the 25, but any fair catch inside the 25 is brought to the 25 yard line. Is there any talk on changes to kickoff in high school? A touchback only goes to the 20 and there is no fair catch rule. Could make the game safer and help limit injuries. Thoughts?

They already took away the wedge and made the runup limited to 5 yards. Stop the madness.

You can fair catch a kickoff and most teams can not kick it to the end zone all the time. Especially if their is a wind in their face. Plus if it gets to the endzone the ball is dead so it is already incentivized to go deep if you have the ability.
