Jonas Williams under appreciated??????

I read that article this morning. If he he is not getting recognition, tell me why he is going to Oregon? I have read several of that writer's articles. I will just say he has an "edge" and that is all I will say.

Idk he’s been talked about since the first game of his Freshman year as one of the best QB’s in the state and everyone knows he’s really, really good.

This feels like when UCONN tried to play the “we’re disrespected” card last March when like 50% of people picked them to win March Madness.

Locally, there has never been less coverage of prep sports especially from the two major Chicago newspapers. That probably plays a part. Also it is convenient that JJ McCarty is erased from his local history because he transferred for a semester during Covid.

Ignorant take in this article.

The fear of a C.J. Stroud/Jordan Love planet. Triplets in looks, personality and play. A “Got Next” one coming straight outta Frankfort. Future shockin’ like if the Bears haven’t made an extension, picked up the fifth-year option or made a clear decision on Caleb Williams by 2029; we could be looking right now at the player who could one day be for them what Jalen Brunson should have been for the Bulls coming straight outta Lincolnshire.

Maybe . . . naw, why go there? Forgive, I already did.

He needs to transfer to a 7A, 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A or a 1A school immediately!! Preferably before Week 1 of 2025!!

Yeah Scoop is a basketball guy. I was very confused by this article. Not getting enough props? He needs to stick with covering basketball.

Msybe but it’s not like he’s committed to Minnesota or
someplace like that.
I know but it just seems to be the norm. Will Oregon get a transfer though like they have the last two seasons with Nix and Gabriel? Probably. It's almost better to commit to Minnesota, do great and then transfer. How many 4 or 5 star QBs commited to ND to see their chance leap frogged by Sam Hartman now Reilly Leonard....it's gotta change.

True

Phil Knight money ... how do you think they are number 1 now?
Absolutely. Dave Portnoy said he would flip the bill for Michigan to get a QB and they just had a 5 Star flip to them yesterday from LSU. This is why I like High School....even with the transfer rate going up there too the NIL hasn't taken control of it.....yet

He had offers from Alabama, Ohio State and just about every major college in the country. Maybe he flips but I don’t see why. Oregon seems like the perfect fit. They pass a lot and they like a running QB. In any case he has options and is a really good player/Athlete that will be fine. If you haven’t seen him play live you will be in for a treat.

He's legit and well deserved. It just seems to be the trend

He had to be a contributing factor to building the Oregon "brand," which has become much more national in appeal (FB uniforms/helmets included) to fans and athletes. The track & field program does not seem to be experiencing a needed bump, however.

He will flip or transfer at some point. No knock on him, it's just how college football is these days, sadly. Especially with the 12 team playoff in place, the top teams are expected to win now and no longer have the option to develop talent. Teams like Oregon will continue find players to transfer in regularly in order to stay in the playoff mix on an annual basis.
