With DeLaSalle forfeiting their remaining games, JCA played it's final regular season home game on Sept 20th. No home games for the Hilltoppers in the final five weeks of the regular season. In addition, they will most likely finish 6-3 or 5-4, which means they will start the playoffs on the road. That's a tough route to navigate.

Thornton & Thornridge have no home games. They’re playing at Blue Island Park

Oh, JCA will be just fine in playoffs...

I'm willing to bet that JCA is totally fine starting the playoffs on the road......meaning they pretty much guarenteed getting a home game or two the following rounds.

While I agree, as a player or parent, it's no fun going 6 straight weeks without a home game.
Plus, losing that home game means lost revenue that can't be made up. Even if they go on an extended playoff run, the IHSA gets most of those gates.

Cant they save the money on rent since DLS cancelled so early? That is probably more than what would be made on the DLS game.

Probably so, since it’s a park district facility.

It’s unfortunate for the fans. It it makes little difference in the whole scheme of the playoffs. They will have a huge crowd at Provi so that will be great! Could be a make or break game for the Celtics even with the “gift” last week.
