Very well played game. I'm surprised they got it in. The Edgy-tutored sophmore lefty, Kevin Duchene, pitched 5 1/3 strong innings. Oakforest cut the JCA lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the 6th. Duchene was lifted for Sr. Eddie Walsh with one out and and a guy on first. Oakforest had their big #3 hitter up, Tim Berry (who had hit two rockets his previous two times). Walsh struck him and the next guy out to end the inning. Nate Ruzich then hit a big three-run homer in the top of the 7th to ice the game.
 
I know you never want to look too far ahead...but I fully expect to see the 'Toppers playing at Silver Cross Field next Saturday...Chicago Harlan vs Chicago Kenwood tonight 7PM at Chicago Brooks....winner faces the Hill Monday in Crestwood....
