A complete tale of two halves.

LW North? Played extremely well for the first half and then could never find it's legs again. Felt that the Phoenix offense suffered a big blow when junior RB Jaylin Branch went out with an apparent blow to the head and was sat for precautionary purposes by North staff. With Branch in North had a very solid running game which also led to a solid play action passing game. Was also impressed with QB Ryan Arthur and the Phoenix defense all in the first half.

Second half?

North just could not get much going on offense, credit a revived LWW defense along with a defense that was playing all pass, getting a good pass rush and really had little trouble with the North running game minus Branch.

The North defense was on it's heels and also had to deal with poor field position the entire second half.

LW West? Played like a young (which they are) and inexperienced team in the first half with four turnovers and just sloppy play.

The offense had issues getting the running game going which the passing offense hung in there. Second half? The pass impend up the run and the sophomore LWW QB was outstanding and led the offense.

Again the way West played in the second half was impressive and the Warriors gain early momentum and rode that wave all the way to the win.

Lots to discuss and breakdown in the Scouting Reports mid week next week.
