All the talk about Triton College got to me thinking about the tons of Illinois & Northern Indiana(St.Joes comes to mind) schools who dropped football. I’m talking in 70’s to 2000’s. I was wondering with all the knowledgeable people on here if we could come up with all the schools & their nicknames. Moraine Valley has a special place in my heart. The Marauders(why the nickname change after dropping football?) were started by Coach W from Reavis & even in their first year had a scrimmage showcase at Reavis after the Reavis Blue & White game.

Interesting. Was just talking to someone about this- Loyola U, DePaul U, UIC, Marquette- will they ever have football programs again?

I wish the U of W system would elevate one or a few schools to MAC, MVFC or even just GLC (Ferris etc) status.
I think it would be foolish of them right now. College football landscape is going to look much much different in next 10 years, might want to wait and see how it unfolds before dumping money into it.
