Impact Player for Camp Point Central
Camp Point Central senior FB/DL Kadin Niekamp (6-foot-0, 220 pounds) will be a rare four year varsity starter and impact player on the Panthers defensive line in 2025. Niekamp haws played in multiple big games over his varsity career including two state title games along with the Class 1A semifinal game inn 2024.
EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2025 Camp Point Central Panthers
If you are looking for one of the more impressive turnaround programs in the State of Illinois over the last decade plus, look no further than Camp Point Central and head coach Brad Dixon. Camp Point Central has been in the IHSA state playoff field for 13 straight seasons all under Brad Dixon (136-27 record in 14 seasons) and includes winning the 2023 Class 1A state title long with second place finishes in Class 1A in 2018 and 2022. Camp Point Central will look to make another deep post-season run this fall behind 14 returning starters (8 offense 6 defense). The Panthers will also not face Class 1A defending state champion Belleville Althoff in 2025, who will be success factored up to Class 3A in 2025.
The biggest question facing Camp Point Central this summer?
Can Camp Point Central continue to roll in 2025 and challenge for another state title? In IHSA one thing is always certain and that is things won't always go according to plans or predictions...and issues happen including injuries and such so nothing is promised for the Panthers inn 2025. However, Camp Point Central has been a terrific story, they continue to win big and continue to get better and better each season. Look for the Panthers to be the prohibitive favorite in the WIV North conference along with being high ranked in Class 1A this fall.
