Only 66 Zip Codes?!? Thought someone said over a 100?

66 zips represented in this class of 550 incoming freshmen. In addition to the incoming freshmen class, there are three other classes that comprise the entire school.
Has the enrollment at Loyola increased or decreased or do they set a limit?

The one catholic school who is experiencing a resurgence is St Lawrence

I am hearing that they have a solid incoming freshman class

LA's maximum enrollment, which they almost always reach, is 2,000 students. Interestingly, said maximum is set by Wilmette village ordinance which dates back to the mid-90s when Loyola went coed and added classrooms, a new gym, and more parking spots. That maximum enrollment was part of the deal to gain Wilmette's approval of their construction permit.

I think Loyola tries to matriculate a max of 550 freshmen each year. It's harder than you might think to maintain the village mandated maximum as the admittance to matriculation yield changes each year and as students transfer in and out in different numbers each year. For a few years, Loyola was close to 2,100 students, and the village reminded Loyola about the ordinance being 2,000 students -- not consistently 5% over that number. I'm fairly certain it was Loyola's bitter/unhappy neighbors who ratted on them to the village. 🤣

Add DePaul Prep to make it two catholic schools experiencing a resurgence.
I would say they never really fell off cuz let’s be honest they changed everything and up and left Gordon Tech and put them in the rear view mirror, alums included.

The ones who up and left Gordon Tech were their former owners/sponsors, the Congregation of the Resurrection. They are the ones who were at the helm when Gordon became a shell of its former self. They are the ones who wanted out after they basically ran that school into the ground. When they found a willing partner in DePaul, they skeedaddled.

I would also argue that it took several years for DePaul Prep to really turn things around after their rebranding. Their move to the old DeVry campus was a true game changer.

It’s a beautiful campus/facility.
