It always amazes me how quickly the regular season goes by. It's been a really interesting one so far, and upsets have been far and few between. This is when it starts to get real. This week's upset is...... The unranked, probably not playoff eligible Wolfpack of St. Ignatius over the #17 Crusaders of Br. Rice. Iggie will slow the game down to a snails pace, keeping the Rice offense off the field, and that's how you beat Rice. Ignatius is at home tonight, with absolutely nothing to lose. Rice is banged up, and already in the playoffs. To me this equals a low scoring St Ignatius victory. Final score....... Ignatius 17 - Br. Rice 14. That's this week's upset. What are your thoughts and who is your upset?

I legit think the Flyers have a good chance to win. It will be 65 and clear skies at the kickoff - so weather is not an issue.

I think ESL takes a page from Cary Grove and shortens the game with their two backs - pound and pound and pound. This year's D is the best it has been in years - old-time East Side. The home crowd, fireworks in the parking lot and the advantage the House of Pain brings to the table.

ESL will be up for this game like no other this year. This is the Super Bowl for them. IMG may look at the last film and look past them. Thre is not much else good film for IMG to watch - ALL of IMG's games are ready for review. IMG has not dominated as it has in the past and their schedule is not as tough.

Flyers soar!

I'd love to see it. Good pick.

I'll take it so "even Rita" would be tied for 1st place in the Green.
I don't think Naz cares about conference championships. State title or bust for this group. I honestly think SF is better than people and spreads think. I think this is a rivalry game and they don’t like us and I think it’s the first of two matchups this year. Rather lose this one and win the second one.

Witty’s post was not meant for any Green team’s programs or fandoms.

You obviously know more about Naz and this matchup than me. With this being a rival game, it may stay close, but I really think Naz is a prohibitive favorite here.

Rita is a very good team, and Coach Hopkins has put together a very good defense, but we all saw what Nazareth did to them in Chicago. After the LA game, SF has lost some of its luster.

Again, though, rival games usually are closer. We shall see.

It wouldn't shock me if SF won but I don't think that is very likely. SF has not had starting RB since Loyola and that has hurt even though sophmore RB is good. Yes, I know injuries happen to every team.
I'll take the points, but Naz wins the game.

I don’t think anything you said is incorrect. You’re right Naz is absolutely rolling right now but I do think very highly of Francis and knowing Naz probably has to play them twice I’m manifesting winning the important one. I will say with Naz’s skill if they play the physical brand of football they played against Rita and since then this game might approach the spread.

Hate to hear that. He’s a senior right? Is he out out?

In a battle of teams that might not even play their starting QBs Loyola will pull off the upset win over Mount Carmel.

Give me Warren over Libertyville @ L Ville POUND THE ROCK
I don't think so, no upset here. Aaron Stewart will get big yards for WTHS ground game, and he will put points on the board. Opponents have limited Stewart this season, but have not stopped him. Quinn Schambow, Blaise LaVista, et al will rebound from last week's upset loss to Lake Forest and put up big numbers against a porous (very) WTHS defense. Schambow passing way too much for Blue Devils.

NSC has been so unpredictable this year, why should tonight be any different?

Mundelein over Lake Forest for a playoff berth.
