Week 7 already, and I've got to admit I'm having a tough year picking Upsets. Hopefully I can turn the tide. This week we'll visit a CCL Crossover game out in the Western Suburbs. This week's pick is..... The unranked Redwings of Benet Academy over the very hot, top 25 ranked Friars of Fenwick. The Friars are coming off a nice win over a good St. Laurence team. They are having a great year at 4-1, and have beaten a couple of quality opponents in Montini and Larry. Benet is a good team, and I watched them play well vs a healthy MC for the 1st half. If they can play some pass defense, they can beat anyone. I'll take the Redwings at home tonight. Final score..... Benet 24 - Fenwick 21. That's this week's upset. I’ll go with this. LT has a very good team, they are much improved over last year. Beutjer is a great QB coach but he is building his program around running the ball and playing great defense. I’ll take them 24-20.

I couldn't pick JCA bacause I can't pick for or against my team for the upset.

But Stinky the Black Cat is vigerously preparing to root against Mt Carmel and for JCA. Stinky unfortunately dropped to 3-1 since Friday the 13th, with a heartbreaking loss against Naz 2 weeks ago.

However, Stinky was not on top of his game that week, and I didn't realize he was missing his White Voodoo Cat head during the game. That's been fixed and I have plenty of sacrificial Turkey meat for Stinky.

Benet honestly looked over-matched on the first two series of this game.
Really early, it felt like this game could get lopsided and then it did.

Fenwick settled for FGs on two series that they probably should have had TDs and also could not convert a 4th & 5 on Benet's 7 on the Friars' second offensive series. 28-0 at Halftime & it could have been worse.
