Biggest Question facing Antioch this fall?
Will there be life at Antioch after the graduation of the Kaliakmanis brothers? It's an interesting question especially since both QB Athan and WR Dino Kaliakmanis have been such a big key for the Sequoits over the past handful of seasons. While the Sequoits will no question have huge shoes to fill minus the Kaliakmanis brothers (both will play at Minnesota this fall) Antioch has been a consistent winner for years and I fully expect the program to remain in the hunt for the Lake County Conference and beyond.
Impact Player for Antioch: Junior TE/LB Joey Neumann. Neumann has been a key player for the Sequoits since his 2019 freshman season who is already starting to appear on several recruiting radar screens this spring. Neumann has really good size (6-foot-5, 220 pounds) who also runs well for a bigger kid.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Antioch Sequoits: Antioch posted a perfect 6-0 spring season record and many (myself included) felt that the 2020 fall season (COVID delayed until spring of 2021) was primed to be a huge season for the Sequoits football program. While Antioch will have holes to fill at a handful of key positions look for this team to again be considered one of the top teams in the conference and to also be headed to the state playoffs this fall.
